WHERE IS LIQUID?

‘…I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some.’
(1 Corinthians 9:22)

The name ‘Liquid’ simply tries to embody something we hope will always be moving, never static, never really ‘formalised’, and always open to change. Each event will change location, with an aim to cover as much of Cornwall as possible over the next year or so. The events take the form of a conventional ‘gig’, and uses a mix of contemporary and traditional music as a vehicle for worship. You are free to engage as you wish, just appreciating it for what it is – a rock concert, or you can enter in and use the experience to worship the maker and saviour of the world in a way that feels comfortable to you.

We are also exploring a visual counterpart to our musical focus, and are developing a series of projectable presentations and ambient ‘eye candy’ that support and enhance a live event. The vision is to see this function in much the same way as a conventional ‘preach’ would in a church service, but without the need to break the flow of the music, and to provide a constant stream of thoughts, scriptures, revelations and ideas that relate to the theme of a song, or the focus of a particular evening. The notion of a ‘visual instrument’ that isn’t tied down to a particular order and that can respond to the flow of an event is nothing new, but in the context of outreach, has some really exciting connotations that we hope to utilise further.
